This one being a Mitsubishi NP 2005 Pajero model with the diesel engine.

Most scary situation in the Pajero?

Previous Pajero went for a swim and written off, not really scary thou but allot of fun.

Rudi’s modification tips:

Get yourself a drug habit, it’s cheaper.

Top 3 tips with Mitsubishi Pajero):

1.     4wd system

2.     Suspension

3.     General maintenance

Things to look out for if buying one:

Diesel injector pumps are known to fail at around 250+ks and cost $4500-5500 to recondition. 4WD centre diff light flashing, 4wd system fault.

Best mod/s Rudi has done and why:

Just 1-2 things you really like

Methanol injection, kits are cheap, easy to install and best value for power.

Top mount intercooler, once again a cheap mod and increases throttle response.

What made you decide to choose this vehicle?

Bang for buck, it is difficult to find a comparable 4wd that offers the driving comfort and 4wd capability for the same price

Best thing about the Pajero?

Cheap to buy, comfortable to drive and surprisingly capable off road

Worst thing about the Pajero?

Looks like a girls or soccer mums car.
