BF Goodrich Mud Terrain KM2

Rating out of 10: 9/10
Brand: BFGoodrich
Type: Mud Terrain KM2
Tyre/Tire Size: 285/75/R16 or 33'inch
Fitted on: 2006 Hilux SR5
Kilometers/miles done: about 30000 with still 60-70% tread left
Pros:
They are great in mud and very grippy over rocks. Good for climbing out of deep ruts.
They are good on sand, I found I did have to take a few more PSI out than normal A/T to get the same preformance out of them.

Cons:
Being a mud terrain they are louder than All terrains, but to me it's not a problem I kinda like the noise M/T's make.

Love them
by: Harry Fisher

I have run 2 sets now, first a 305/70R16 (33x12.5) and then a 285/75R16 both on a landcruiser (first on a 100 series, second on a very heavy 80 series). I went to the 285s because they have a higher load rating (E) and 10 ply tread.

I mirror Ronny's comments. They have hard sidewalls so need more air out but that is easily sorted. They were really quiet when they were new but as with all muddies as they wear out they get louder. After each rotation they get louder because they are not worn to that corner of the car, but that goes away around 1,000km after the rotation.

Mine have worn very evenly. The first set did 30k and were down to around 60% and the second have done 45k and are down around 50%. At this rate I expect around 75k out of them and I am not very kind to them at all!

km2s Around oz
by: smash

Bought some second hand about %60 worn km2s and did a trip around Australia.

Very good tyres and ran nicely at lower psi on rocks and gravel.

Only had one puncture on some very sharp shale, which is impressive considering we did all the hard tracks we could find on the Gibb River, Kimberley area, Cape York and Fraser Island.

Good tyre. Only real complaint was they are more noisy than the Mickey Thompson baja claws i normally run. Size 305s (33s)
