G'day, i was introduced into into 4wding when i bought an old LJ50 Suzuki buzz box. Great vehicle took me everywhere and got me back in most cases :)
I've owned a GU Patrol that was capable and a brand new 120 series Prado that was very good and miserly (3.0ltr).
However the capability of the current vehicle is outstanding.
It's a 2009 auto 3.8ltr JK 4dr Jeep (and its red).
Just this last easter i went out to Julimar forrest for some fun with a few other cars, i was impressed that my bog stock Jeep kept up with a lifted Colorado and a modified JK.
Its not changed much from Factory, LED headlights and a row of HID spotties across the top (pics only show 2 but it has 4 now).
Needs a transmission cooler as i found a trip to Yeagerup dunes warmed up the tranny oil really quickly (im interested to see what Brian did to his).
Best part of my car..... Taking the roof off on a glorious Perth day and cruising around (note to others, dont't road trip to Lancelin with a mrs like this..... trust me).
If ya see me around say Gday, i might drive a Jeep but im impressed with anyone who gets out and has a go, no matter what you drive.
Cheers and cold beers
Clarky

A 4x4 adventure to Steep Point, the westernmost point of Australia and that alone makes it worth traveling to. The sense of achievement getting to the westernmost point is rewarding...

The Hilux is the people’s vehicle. New owners will be looking to make improvements, and hopefully this Hilux will be an inspiring starting point...
