Top Tourist Chalet/Caravan Park. Station Street Margaret River

We will go back to this Park but gggrrrh!

We had booked way ahead for two ensuite sites late December 15-Jan 2nd 2016. We raved about the park to friends and decided we would spend the ANZAC long weekend there and show friends around.

The idea being they may take our bookings as we are unable to make it. Upon cancellation at the office I was told ..."you have cancelled in plenty of time, however, we will be charging a cancellation fee of $20 per site. WHAT! EASY MONEY! Begrudgingly I was charged and paid $20 for both sites. 8 months before intended stay and yet $20 cancellation?

Our previous stay was one lane back from the fence. Friends at first impressed with Park soon changed their minds and decided not to take booking for Dec/Jan.

En-suite sites roomy, ablution clean. Unfortunately situated directly opposite non powered tent sites....used by young folk travelling through. Spitting, snoring. Blokes lining up urinating up the fence. Carton upon carton of beer brought in...rowdy as. Two out of three nights very disturbing. Urinating was reported to the office.

PLEASE, PLEASE divide the park a little better. Apparently, it is the plan for the future....when comments made by us to desk staff...an abrupt retort was given "these things take time". Well the park has been there a long time and as far as we can see it's quick money making using that limited spaced area as overnight tenting.

One front desk staff member could do with a little PR training too.

Margaret River Top Tourist is very close to most tourist attractions, convenient walk into town centre. We prefer en-suite site and will have to book 12mths ahead in future to stay away from back fence.
Beware, I hope they keep a good reputation and not sacrifice it for monetary gain alone!!!!
